Yes. Full-time students can complete the program in 1.5 to 2 years. Part-time students will take longer, but they must complete the program within 5 years.

Yes, students are able to work full-time since there is a part-time option for the program and coursework is mostly asynchronous. Please note that the program does require a 4-day, on-campus component.

Yes. Once a student is accepted in the program, they will work with a designated faculty advisor who will help them to choose one of the following concentrations: Applied/Clinical Exercise Physiology or Physical Activity & Public Health. Visit our curriculum page to learn more.

Our program offers small class sizes of about 10 to 15 students.

Students who graduate from our program are well-prepared to pass the ACSM and NSCA exams. We encourage our graduates to apply for certifications through these organizations.

The online master’s in exercise science prepares students to excel in a variety of positions in the healthcare, government, research, nonprofit and private sectors, including exercise physiologist, kinesiologist, personal trainer, cardiac rehabilitation specialist and wellness coordinator.
